Top Roulette Chat Room Sites

When navigating the world of free online chat rooms it can be somewhat confusing when you try to separate the different chatting styles in terms of your search criteria. Thus, in order to help you out, we decided to just take 10 of the best roulette chat style sites and put them in a nice easy list. EVERY site in this list will have the random video or text chat functionality that you are looking for, unlike the main list in our navigation which includes sites that actually may not have the roulette capability, but instead only have the sort of traditional chat room functionality. We also will include our own rating of each one, so you can kind of get a better idea of how they stack up compared to one another right away! Our ratings are based on a number of factors such as variety / awesomeness of features and amount of users online at any given time. Here we go:

1. iMeetzu – Rating: 10/10

2. Omegle – Rating: 10/10

3. Chatroulette – Rating: 9/10

4. Chatrandom – Rating: 9/10

5. Streamberry – Rating: 8/10

6. Camzap – Rating: 8/10

7. Stickam – Rating: 8/10

8. Funyo  -Rating:  7/10

9. Bazoocam – Rating: 6/10

10. Chatpig – Rating: 5/10

And that’s our list! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed. Also, don’t forget that roulette chatting isn’t the only kind out there, there are all sorts of different ways to communicate online, so don’t limit yourself to just one in particular, even though I have to admit this one is probably the most entertaining by far 🙂

Sites Like Omegle

If you love Omegle as much as I do, I’m sure the thought has crossed your mind as to whether or not there any other sites out there that really compare to it. To put it simply, there’s basically only one site that even comes close, because most roulette chat sites just don’t offer a text-only version on top of video. That in itself is the main difference, and for whatever reason almost every other popular random chatting site out there does not have both webcam and text options to choose from. It’s weird, because you think the competition would get a clue after seeing the continued popularity of text-only, but it is what it is. Anyway, here’s a list of sites that at least provide a roulette-style chat similar to Omegle’s, even if they don’t have a text-only feature.

1. iMeetzu

iMeetzu is the most similar site like Omegle that I know of, and it was started right after Omegle came onto the scene. First, they were also text-only, and then when Omegle added video they followed suit. However, there are some major differences. iMeetzu has it’s own social network sort of attached to the random chatting, and it also has group cam chat functionality. This gives you an interesting twist on your average roulette site, because a social network built on the stranger community is very unique. Anyway, iMeetzu is the only site I know of that has both text and video options to choose from. Read our full iMeetzu review by clicking here.

2. Chatroulette

Obviously any list of random chat sites is not complete without this major player. Yes, I know, they don’t have a text-only option, but hey, it’s like I said before, literally only one site does that I know of. Anyway, if for some reason you aren’t familiar with Chatroulette, it was the site that really sparked worldwide attention for the roulette chat niche and made the category as popular as it is today. Although it is video-only, it has been featured in South Park, so that’s how you know it’s legit! Read our full review here, or visit them now.

3. Chatrandom

Chatrandom is one of the most popular random chat sites on the market. It only trails Omegle and Chatroulette in terms of visitors, at least as far as I can tell. It has risen to prominence by offering a variety of features. It has the typical roulette video room, but adds on to it with a group live cam chat rooms option, and then a “multi chat” option. These extra two features seem to be very popular, and as far as I can tell have lent a major helping hand in terms of Chatrandom’s success. Click here for our full review, or just visit the site directly.

4. Streamberry

You may not have heard of this site before because as far as I can tell it’s relatively new to the scene. Or, if it isn’t new, it has risen in popularity somewhat recently. At any rate, in terms of offerings Streamberry provides two main options: typical random cam chat and group video rooms. It has a lot of users online at any given moment, which is obviously necessary for any site like this to be worth a visit. That being said, although they don’t necessarily provide anything you can’t get somewhere else, they’re probably still worth checking out because a lot of times the types of people that visit different sites can shift dramatically just by virtue of it being a different domain name. You can read our review here.

5. Camzap

This site was founded shortly after Chatroulette went viral, and it seemed to sort of piggyback on Chatroulette’s fame in order to obtain it’s own popularity. It was initially essentially an exact imitation, but now it has added something extra that does in fact set it apart a bit. If you look for the beta version link you will see that in that version there is a user registration option, and this allows you to then add friends as you use the service, which can be great for keeping track of some great new contacts. Click here for our review, or visit the service now.

6. Chatville

Chatville used to be primarily focused on being a sort of Facebook friendly version of Chatroulette. However, it would seem that idea may have failed, because now Chatville seems to be focused on providing an adult-oriented video chat environment that is not integrated with Facebook at all. This isn’t really a big surprise, when you consider what happened with Airtime. Anyway, this site actually is pretty popular, and the software backing it is pretty legit, so check them out. You can read our complete review here.

7. RandomSkip

With random text chat, roulette video chat, and group webcam chat all in one site, what more can you ask for? Not much. RandomSkip is new, and popular, so make sure you give them a visit!

Omegle Spy Mode Prank: Stranger 1 loves Stranger 2?

Omegle‘s popular spy mode feature can lead to some major fun if you come up with creative enough questions. You can obtain ridiculously entertaining reactions from the two users who duke it out trying to answer whatever question you pose to them. Anyway, this example of such creativity caught my eye recently, so I thought I would share it with you. It actually made me think of a concept which I had not previously occurred to me, which is this concept of attempting to include references to the users who will be arguing over the question within the question itself. This is definitely something I will have to play around with 🙂

Anyway, here’s the prank in action:

Chatroulette Prank: Merton Funny Piano Improv

Merton is one of the original Chatroulette users that went viral with awesome prank videos, and he has amazing talent! He originally rose to prominence back in March of 2010, which is when the press took a-hold of one of his videos and made it go viral. Basically, he sits at a piano and watches people flash across the roulette screen, and as soon as someone stops a moment to watch him he begins playing and singing a 100% improvised on the spot song that describes the person, typically in as funny a manner as possible. It’s quite entertaining! You can read more about Merton on wikipedia, but for now, watch one of his most popular videos below:

Chatroulette Prank: Katy Perry – Peacock

Besides the unwanted adult content, Chatroulette is also known for its abundance of pranksters. One of the most prolific serial pranksters is a Youtube celebrity by the name of Steve Kardynal (click here for his youtube channel), and he really knows no bounds in terms of what he’s willing to do when he makes his videos. Of course, I don’t expect you to take my word for it, so check out the video below, and then maybe some of his other masterpieces – he’s not only a Chatroulette master prankster, he dominates all walks of life!

Chatroulette Prank: The Last Exorcism

Chatroulette is well known for being a gold mine for pranksters! And apparently movie producers are no exception to the rule. This is one super-creative form of viral marketing, so much so that I have to give lots of personal super kudos to whoever came up with this absolutely fantastic idea. I’m sure just by the name you already have a pretty decent idea of what this video may entail, but try to pretend you didn’t see the name of the movie before you watch this for the best results 😉

Here is the video:

Do You Still Use Chatroulette?

A lot of bloggers kind of wrote off Chatroulette as a fad that would fade away with time. To their credit, Chatroulette has faded a bit from where it began. However, they are wrong in the sense that although it lost some of its initial popularity it is still hugely popular. Thus, I suppose it would seem that to some people it really was a fad, but to a large number of people who continue to use it to this day, it was not. And now, the site continues to evolve as the founder, Andrey Ternovsky, continuously makes changes, trying to take care of the nudity problem and make the service work faster / more efficiently.

So, whether or not you yourself still use Chatroulette, millions of other people still do every month, and the site is very much alive and well. Maybe if you don’t still use it but you did find it initially to be captivated you should make a point to check it out again from time to time to see if the right changes have been made to make you once again be interested in giving it a try. After all, as with most websites on the internet, this one is constantly evolving, and striving to be better / attract a bigger user base.

Sites Like Chatroulette

Ever since Chatroulette came out, people have been searching for other similar alternate sites to try as well. There are probably a lot of reasons for this, one of which may be that different types of people tend to visit these different sites. Anyway, I’m here to help, so here’s a list of some of the top sites like Chatroulette:

1. iMeetzu

iMeetzu is a very unique website that has your typical random video chat, but also adds it’s own text chat (with free iphone and android apps), it’s own group chat system, and an entire fully functional and popular social network. To read my full review of iMeetzu, click here.

2. Omegle

Omegle was the pioneer that starting the entire random chatting craze. They have both video and text chatting options, as well as some sweet extra features such as “spy chat” which allows you to ask a question and then spy on two people as they try to answer it – fun! To read my full review of Omegle, click here.

3. Chatrandom

Chatrandom started later than most of the random chat big boys, but it is a rising star in the niche and continues to grow at an astounding rate! It has both your typical roulette video chat and a couple other great group webcam chatting options, check it out and you won’t be disappointed! To read my full review of Chatrandom, click here.

4. Streamberry

Streamberry, like Chatrandom, is also a relatively new player. However, it also is growing pretty quick and has lots of users online at any given time! It offers both a normal random video option and a group cam option, and is 100% free! To read my full review of Streamberry, click here.

5. Camzap

Camzap has been around for a while, and it seems to have a pretty well established user base. It is a near-exact copy of the original Chatroulette, BUT it has a new version in beta mode that allows for user registration and a number of other cool features. Streamberry Random Roulette & Group Video Chat Rooms

Streamberry Random Roulette & Group Video Chat Rooms Streamberry is a relatively new yet fast-growing popular chat site. As you will quickly see upon visiting the homepage, there are two main options: Chatroulette and Live Cams. Thus, they have the traditional random webcam chat option, and then they also have a group video chat room option (“Live Cams”). A quick glance at the group option shows that it is actually very popular with nearly 300 people online in a single room, and there are multiple rooms, and lots of people streaming live on cam. A brief look at the roulette option seems to also show some large numbers of online users, so this is definitely a site that people are coming back to. Frankly, I’m not surprised, because Streamberry has a pretty high Alexa ranking.

On a related note, Alexa research shows that the main countries users are coming from include USA, Iraq, UK, and Egypt – So, kind of a funny deal there with those two middle east countries finding their way into the mix, but it looks like USA is the most dominant force of the four. The group chat area seemed to have quite a bit of adult content streaming, so be prepared for that. Of course, there were also plenty of normal fully clothed users, so no matter what you’re looking for you’ll probably be well served. Well, that’s about it – you can visit Streamberry at www.streamberry.com.

321Chat Free Online Text & Webcam Chat Rooms

321Chat Free Online Text & Webcam Chat Rooms 321 Chat is a free provider of online chatting options. They have a large number of different rooms to choose from, 15 to be exact. These chat rooms are Teen, 20’s, Gay, Singles, Latin, Gay Teen, Adult, Lesbian, Webcam, Black, Kid, Senior, UK, Jewish | Christian, and Asian. As you can see, they have quite the selection and that definitely is a plus to their service, that is, assuming they all have enough people in them at any given time for them to be worthwhile – Sadly, a lot of them don’t, but at the same time, a lot of them do. I’m not sure if it’s a hit or miss thing or if certain rooms always have a lot of people in them, so I guess if you’re interested you’ll have to check them all out over time to kind of figure that out.

Anyway, according to Alexa the site gets a decent number of visitors, although nothing substantial, and the top country of origin is USA. As for user registration, it is not required to use any of the chat rooms and you can even upload an avatar as a guest,  but if you do decide to register you open up all sorts of nice features such as having a saved profile and all the typical bells and whistles that accompany one. Also, before I forget, 321Chat does NOT have any sort of omegle-like random chat. At any rate, if you’re interested in checking the site out visit www.321chat.com.
