Chattino German Webcam Roulette

Chattino German Webcam Roulette Chattino is a random video chat site that is primarily focused on Germans. A quick look at it’s Alexa traffic statistics confirms that the majority of its visitors come from Germany, with no other countries in the same ballpark. This, of course, makes sense, considering when you visit the site the default language is German, and if you give the site a try, you tend to come across a lot of Germans, etc. Of course, if you’re looking to brush up on your German language skills, maybe this could be the place, assuming you find someone who wants to talk and not…do the unthinkable.

In terms of users online, it seems to have a decent number, but probably not a number large enough to ensure you don’t see the same person twice, and probably not a large enough number to ensure you can keep quickly moving on from one person to the next. That being said, smaller niche sites like this can still have their benefits, especially if you’re trying to meet someone specifically from Germany, or if you’re just looking for a change of pace. Often times you may find people who are frustrated with the big name sites and just looking for something a little different, which could make a site like this perfect for you if you also find yourself in that sort of predicament. Anyway, you can check Chattino out at www.chattino.com (site no longer exists).

Flipchat Webcam Roulette Room

Flipchat Webcam Roulette Room Flipchat is a random video chat site very similar to Chatroulette. It has a decent Alexa rank, which means it probably typically has enough users online to make it worthwhile to visit. The interface is clean, and easy to navigate. The color theme is nice and easy on the eyes, which I like. Flipchat isn’t only anonymous random chatting though, they also have the ability to register and a convenient “add friend” button so that you can add people as you go! This is a great feature that allows you to immediately be able to save all your new friends and at the same time kind of keep them separate from the rest of your personal online space if you don’t like giving out your Facebook or IM id.

Flipchat also has options to select what gender you’re looking for, and the ability to choose the location you are trying to find someone in. I kind of doubt that either of these options will work very well because I don’t think Flipchat gets quite enough users online at any given time to make it work, but it’s still worth a try. At any rate, when you combine all the cool features Flipchat has it is pretty compelling to at least give them a visit and see what’s up! Check them out at www.flipchat.com.

Funyo Random Roulette Video Chat

Funyo Random Roulette Video Chat Funyo was launched in 2011 shortly after Chatrandom and the two sites seem to be affiliated based on their similar layouts and features. Currently, it has a lot more features than it did when it originally launched as purely a Chatroulette-style random video chat service. Now, it has added in many more features including two different types of group chatting, and a user registration system. The first group chat seems to have a lot of empty rooms, but the one active one had quite a few people in it and seemed entertaining. The roulette chat seemed to also have enough people on it to make it interesting. Funyo describes itself as:

“a social community where you can meet random people using your webcam”

And of course, this is an accurate description. However, when I compare Funyo to its affiliate, Chatrandom, I see a HUGE difference in terms of popularity. Chatrandom has outgrown Funyo by leaps and bounds and has WAY more users online than Funyo. For whatever reason, this is the way it worked out, but Funyo still has just enough people to make it worthwhile to check out. Thus, give them a visit by going to www.funyo.com.

WebcamNow Group Video Chat Streams

WebcamNow Group Video Chat Streams WebcamNow, or at least the company behind it, was supposedly a pioneer in online video chatting and streaming. According to their website,

“The company released its first webcam videochat services in 1998 with a mission to make it simple for everyone to broadcast live webcams on the Internet.”

If this is actually the case, that is very impressive, and it would explain why they seem to be pretty popular today. At first glance when visiting you see options: “visitors”, “members”, and “speedsters”. Visitors can use the site with out registering, but they can only view the live chats, not actually participate. Members can broadcast video, send messages, and save favorites, but this of course requires free registration. Finally, speedsters can do everything normal members can do but they also get “HQ video, 50x faster”, “full screen video”, and “private messaging”. However, being a speedster costs money.

At any rate, it would seem that a free membership is all you really need to use the site, and you can decide whether you even want to bother registering for a free membership by first just checking out the interface and number of users online as a “visitor”. It looks pretty user friendly and there seemed to be quite a few users online in my experience, so I would definitely recommend you check them out at www.webcamnow.com (site no longer exists).

Facebuzz Random Video Cam Chat

Facebuzz Random Video Cam Chat Facebuzz was launched right on the heels of Chatroulette back in 2010 as essentially an imitator with a new cool brand. The site features a pretty cool intro music video that highlights cool, crazy, and funny screenshots from roulette webcam chat services, and I think this does a pretty good job of getting a user immediately interested in giving Facebuzz a try. However, compared to when it first came out Facebuzz has declined in popularity significantly. It still has a relatively decent Alexa traffic ranking, but it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be.

On the plus side, it has a nice sleek design and pretty fast software behind it, so the user experience can be good if there are enough people online. Of course, as with any site like this, that is pretty much always the biggest IF, since if there aren’t enough users online you will just keep getting the same people over and over and it will get boring really quick. Anyway, I still think it’s worth at least giving Facebuzz a try, so check it out at www.facebuzz.com (site no longer exists).

Airtime Roulette Webcam Chat Facebook App

Airtime Roulette Webcam Chat Facebook App Airtime was launched in June of 2012 to much fanfare, as was to be expected with any startup being launched by famous entrepreneurs Sean Parker and Shawn Fanning. The major difference between Airtime and Chatroulette is that Airtime is a Facebook App, and thus requires users to have Facebook accounts and be logged in. Furthermore, by requiring users to be logged in Facebook, Airtime is able to allow people to randomly meet based on interests, as well as make it much less likely for people to do inappropriate things (since their actual name is tied to what they do). This was an attempt to both solve the problems associated with Chatroulette while at the same time expand the capabilities of it in order to make the entire user experience better. Sadly, it didn’t seem to work out.

Airtime’s launch was immediately followed by a continuous decline in App usage. There could be a lot of reasons for this, such as the inability to remain anonymous, or simply the fact that what they’ve done isn’t really new. Either way, many people have noticed this trend, including the folks at VentureBeat. Nonetheless, I would still recommend giving it a try sometime, as it is a very well made application as should be expected after all the money that was poured into its development. You can check it out by visiting www.airtime.com.

Bazoocam French Roulette Video Chat Room

Bazoocam French Roulette Video Chat Room Bazoocam is a popular random video chat site that seems to focus on people from France. When looking up it’s Alexa traffic rankings, I do see a strong amount of visitors originating from France, so this does actually seem to be the case. However, Bazoocam seems to also get a lot of users from plenty of other countries including Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, and even a decent amount from the United States. That doesn’t even come close to including all the countries they get visitors from, as they get high numbers of visitors from plenty of other nations.

At any rate, it would seem that Bazoocam has a nice little feature that allows you to meet people nearby. According to their website, there is an option to

“meet people that live close to me and authorize bazoocam to display my approximate location”

Of course, the next logical explanation is whether or not it works. As you might expect, if you’re from France the odds are a lot higher than if you’re from anywhere else. But it still does work sometimes! However, similar to Camzap, you will have to test it out yourself and try it a lot more times than I did to really see how well it works – you just need a bigger sample size to be sure! Anyway, I would definitely suggest you give Bazoocam a try, so check it out at www.bazoocam.org

Stickam Shuffle Roulette Alternative Video Chat

Stickam Shuffle Roulette Alternative Video ChatStickam Shuffle is a great and interesting alternative to the typical roulette style of chat room. Stickam by itself is a separate service that allows users to register and have their own live streaming channels which other users can view and even join in with their own web cams. The thing that sets Stickam Shuffle apart from other sites like Chatroulette or Omegle is that it requires all users to be registered and it is VERY strict about not allowing any adult material! It’s the one website where you can use a random video chat and not have to worry about constantly seeing nudity, hooray!

In terms of popularity, Stickam itself is definitely very popular based on it’s Alexa traffic ranking. It’s hard to know how to compare that to the Stickam Shuffle part, but it seems as though there are plenty of users online at any given time to make sure you have plenty of new random strangers to meet! For this reason and the aforementioned reasons, I would definitely suggest you give Stickam Shuffle a try by visiting it at: www.stickam.com/shuffle.do (site no longer exists)

Camzap Random Stranger Video Chat

Camzap random stranger video chat Camzap is a popular random stranger roulette video chat alternative. It came onto the scene a little earlier than a lot of the other big players in the niche, and that seems to have benefited it with pretty good name recognition and a lot of users online. Their website claims that

“by selecting one of the countries on the bottom right corner, you have a 50% chance to connect to someone from your area.”

However, in my experience it wasn’t anywhere close to 50%. Of course, you would have to do a HUGE sample of attempts to really know for sure, so I’ll leave it up to you to decide if that portion actually works! At any rate, Camzap also provides a choice selection of 7 different languages, so that’s kind of nice. Furthermore, Camzap also has a Beta version that involves the ability to register, but it seems to be very poorly moderated, and thus is not recommended if you wish to avoid seeing adult material. At any rate, I would definitely recommend giving this roulette video chat a try! Check them out at www.camzap.com. (site no longer exists)

Chatrandom Roulette Video Chat & Group Chat Rooms

Chatrandom roulette video chat & group chat rooms Chatrandom came onto the random chatting scene later than most of the big sites, but it has grown in popularity very quickly and is now one of the most popular random / roulette sites on the internet! Part of the reason for this is probably all the great features it offers. Similar to iMeetzu, it doesn’t only provide random chat options, but also provides some really cool group chatting functionality! It has group chat rooms, and then it also has a really cool “multichat” section. Both of these sections are VERY popular and you will find hundreds if not thousands of users in them at any given time! Personally, I believe the addition of these extra sections is a big part of the reason why ChatRandom has grown so quickly and become so popular today!

Although Chatrandom does not have any mobile apps or a social network, it’s definitely still worth checking out. It has more features than Chatroulette and less features than iMeetzu, but it’s super popular and has it’s own sort of uniqueness about it. For some people it just might be the perfect fit, but you’ll never know until you try it! Anyway, what are you waiting for? Give Chatrandom a visit at www.chatrandom.com.
